Food Program

Our Food Programs

Those 55 and older with low income can benefit from balanced nutrition through our food programs. Thanks to the support of donors and volunteers, we provide healthy nutrition to over 1000 beneficiaries every month.

Our food programs include congregate meals for seniors who live independently and home-delivered meals for the elderly housebound or isolated. Every dish served or delivered meets the Dietary Reference Intake set by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

More than meals

Besides daily meals, older adults in our care receive nutrition education and advice, along with information on healthy aging. To top it all off, they find a place for social interaction with our congregate meals.

Our Partners

Congregate Meals

Our elderly community visits our location at 1133 NW 22nd Avenue, Miami, Florida, to enjoy a tasty and balanced breakfast and lunch. Once elders step into our premises, they’re warmly welcomed by our staff and volunteer team, and they sit down at the table with others to enjoy a friendly chat and a balanced meal.

At The Senior Care Foundation, we go the extra mile to ensure that our elders are provided with the safe, comfortable, and tranquil environment they deserve. We also guarantee that our food meets both safety and hygiene standards for food handling.

Homebound Meals

Seniors who cannot visit our location because of a disability or medical condition can also take part in our meal programs. Every week, we deliver frozen food to our homebound beneficiaries, with clear instructions from our nutritionist on how to prepare the meals.
